Found everywhere in Spain, a chiringuito is an all-day beachfront bar and restaurant which serves tapas and drinks. African Volcano erupts at Great Guns Social

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Southwark Bridge Road, Borough, our second visit to Great Guns Social was just as memorable as the first time. Celebrated chef Grant Hawthorne has taken up a residency at the venue, bringing with him Mozambiquan-style flavours with a South African twist, straight from Grant’s Cape Town homeland. Chilli Garlic Coca-Cola Wings

One thing I love about food, is the fact that it tells you something about the stories behind some of our favourite dishes. I remember when I first tried cola chicken, it was in TGI Fridays and I assumed it was an American dish. However, a colleague of mine from Hong Kong informed me that it’s actually a popular dish in China. After doing some homework, I realised that the birthplace of this recipe is still up for debate, with various sources contending that the origin is between the US, China and Taiwan.
